With the extreme heat of the summer and excessive snow in the winter, the Colorado seasons play a significant role in the real estate market. Both buyers and sellers should be aware of these changes to manage better the timing of delving into the real estate process.
Winter: During this time of year, there is typically low house inventory as people prepare for and celebrate the holidays. However, it can be a good time to purchase a home as a home can go on the market at a great value that does not receive its usual attention due to the holidays.
Spring: Selling Season! The weather for moving is usually ideal for this time. Sellers typically get the biggest bang for their buck between March through May.
Summer: With the heat of the season and kids heading back to school in August, home sales hit a bit of a plateau. Homes are definitely selling in the summer months, but just not at the pace they were in the spring.
Autumn: Fall is my favorite season for the Colorado real estate market, for there is equal opportunity for both buyers and sellers. There is an abundance of houses for sale, and usually plenty of people looking to buy a home.
So, if you want to buy or sell your home, take advantage of the great Colorado fall season. I am happy to be a free resource for all your real estate needs.
