Summer’s Hottest Home Selling Tips

As Spring' Selling Season' comes to an end, there is no reason to fret if you want to sell your home. Summer is still a great time to sell your home. The key is to take advantage of the great elements of Colorado's sunny weather while at the same time mitigating any issues that hotter weather may bring to the surface.

Tip #1: Make sure your lawn and landscaping are well kept - An unkempt lawn or garden signals to a potential buyer more work or investment, which can be daunting after moving into a new home. Well-maintained landscaping helps likely homeowners think about enjoying their backyard instead of working on it.

Tip #2: Refresh your exterior paint - The house's exterior will be the first thing potential buyers will see, so you want to make the best first impression. Fresh paint does a lot to spruce up the look of a home and is worth the investment.

Tip #3: Keep your air conditioner on at a comfortable room temperature - No one likes to walk into a stuffy house. When showing a home, it is recommended to keep the house at 65°. Everyone will appreciate knowing the home cooling system works.

Tip #4: Stage your backyard - As you stage your interior to let potential buyers see themselves in the home, stage your outdoor area so future buyers see themselves sipping tea on the porch or having a fun family barbeque in the backyard.
