Find the Ulti-Mutt Pet Friendly Neighborhood

When house hunting, you should consider finding a neighborhood where your fur baby can thrive. Safe walking areas, pet-friendly public spaces, and friendly neighbor dogs can reduce stress for both you and your pet.

Here is what to look for:

  • Tip # 1: Check the pet policies of your HOA and city and county ordinances. Know the number of pets allowed at a residence, whether pets need to be registered, and how the policies are enforced.

  • Tip # 2: Walk your dog around the neighborhood during times you would typically walk your dog. Get to know the traffic patterns and other dogs you may encounter in your daily walking routine.

  • Tip # 3: Meet other dog owners in the neighborhood and ask them about their favorite pet-friendly parks and cafes to visit.

  • Tip # 4: Complimentary poop bags in the neighborhood are an excellent indicator of a pet-friendly neighborhood.
